Guess who's the "belle of the tourism ball?" That would be none other than Southern Oregon! With national press articles coming out almost every day on the unique people, art, foods, and places that thrive here, it is hard to ignore just how uber-cool this area is.
Taking a road trip or a flight across the United States to visit southern Oregon's burgeoning wine areas, micro-breweries, artisan food makers, artists, unique lodging, and exquisite scenery will not disappoint. It is shocking, once you begin to dig into the area, how rich it is with folks who are passionate about the products they make/offer. What makes their passion resonate even more is that most of them attribute their successes to their beautiful, bountiful surroundings.
Just recently, VIA magazine published an article entitled, "Road Trip: Scenic Southern Oregon." The article discusses southern Oregon's unique hikes, one-of-a-kind craftsmen (and women), incredible artisan foods, world-class rafting trips, and unequaled lodging experiences.
Our friends at Rogue Wilderness just got a write up on their "Wiking" trips in the NY Times (that would be Rogue River wine and hiking trips).
Step up this summer and see what all the buzz is about. Come "dance" with the belle of the Oregon tourism ball....Southern Oregon!
