Baby Blacktail Beauties!

Aren't these twins just the cutest creatures ever! This photo was taken near Black Bar Lodge on the Rogue River...where blacktail deer like these two love to live.

The Red Butte Wilderness section of the Siskiyou Moutains is home to these beautiful creatures (and many others) and provides the perfect environment for them to thrive. Red Butte is the craggy portion of the Siskiyou Mountains which forms the watershed divide between the Rogue River and Klamath River drainages. An absolutely stunning forest parcel with many one-of-a-kind flora and fauna.

No wonder the Rogue is so pristine. With its watershed drainage coming from Red Butte, animals and people thrive!
